Both fate and karma cannot be real at the same time because they are opposites of one another. Fate means that all that happens in your life is already pre-ordained, ie they cannot be changed no matter what. Karma on the other hand refers to your actions in this life and how they will have consequences in the future or in future lives. If you do what is right(ie not sinning) then you have done your karma and can expect nirvana. Nirvana refers to the release from the endless cycle of birth and death to which the human soul is chained. Fate is like a one way street where you cant turn even if you want to. Karma gives you a chance to decide what you want to make of your lives to come. As you said these are merely philosophical or theological ideas and do not have any proof.

I think that fate and karma are words. What matters are what those words mean. My understanding of what fate means, and what karma means, is different to what the dictionary says those words mean. I'm betting that both are different to what you think they both mean.
Some say Fate means destiny. Like you have no free will to do as you choose, and everything is ordered and controlled with perfect flawless precision.
To me, fate is an acronym. it stands for:
From
All
Thought
Everywhere
It is the cumulative effect of the world thinking, and speaking and acting based on what they think. All those thoughts, each different, co-creating the future. Ever heard of the phrase "too many cooks in the kitchen."?
The above has a rather significant volume of scientific evidence to support it, plus thousands of years of spiritual writings making reference to it. a recent film called "The Secret" has revealed it to the world. It was also featured in the film "What The Bleep Do We Know?"
Karma, I believe, is a very loosely defined term, and I believe this is intentional. It has been referred to as synonymous with "what goes around comes around", "everyone gets their cumuppins", and "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Sort of like the Universe's or God's way of setting everything right. Justice will prevail.
Conversely, it has been referred to as synonymous with a preset plan that God designed before the game began, like a strategy. It doesn't decide what the pieces do exactly, or how or where or when, only why. The divine purpose that all things are part of a beautiful plan that will become clear to those who choose to see it. "the lord works in mysterious ways", as they say.
I believe that the term Karma is defined loosely because to explain it clearly would be excessively time consuming. I believe it is more complex than can be defined with a simple "God's Plan", or "Universal Justice." I believe that we as a species are just beginning to understand the secrets of this ancient complex concept, but the pieces of the puzzle are scattered across the globe, and across the millenia. I also believe the vast majority of the pieces are still to be uncovered, but the biggest pieces found to date have been found in recent years, maybe even months or days.
It is worthwhile mentioning that it is highly improbable that anyone will understand the full picture unless we can put aside our petty differences and start working together toward a common goal.
You may be wondering what I think that common goal could be. Most people instinctively say "peace", as if a permanent state of non-violence would fix all our problems. No! Peace is only appreciated by us because it is not war, but without war we would not know peace.
I believe the answer to our cooperation is SURVIVAL. Over the last few hundred years, western civilazation has unbalanced the otherwise ecologically stable environment of the planet. As a result, we have climate change. Simultaneously, the eastern and impoverished parts of the world have pushed the planet's population of humans from 1 billion to 6 billion. Do the math: more people + less inhabitable area =
Panic, fear, starvation, war, famine, disease, disasters, emergencies, crisis.
Billions will die a painful and humiliating death, homeless, broke, and helpless.
UNLESS ...
We learn to cooperate with each other. We accept each other as equals, each having something to contribute to the greater good: Our right to live. Only then can we even dream of attempting a mass survival strategy. It will take a major overhaul of the beurocratic process, to streamline it and make the decision represent the majority vote of everyone, everywhere, equally. Peoples Existential Equal Rights Anarchistic Government of Earth (PEERAGE - an English word that refers to nobility or honour of specific persons, in this case the founders of PEERAGE).
Perhaps this is our FATE?

Eventual Fate - Death - is something that I believe to be my fate. We are all going to die no matter what.
Daily fates - what happens today, tomorrow, or yesterday, was all planned by something - is not what I believe. Everyone's life is not planned, because we choose our own path to the future.
Karma - what you do this life will affect the next - is not what I believe, because I don't believe in the next life.
Instant Karma (my Nepoli friend made this term up) - what goes up must come down) - is what I believe. You do nice thing to people, people will either take advantage of you, or be nice to you. And the second one is priceless. I lived in this country for several years, and everytime you do something nice for no reason they get skeptical about it. However, sometimes in the future, you will get some unexpected help when you truly need it. That's instant karma.

Karma is mentioned in the oldest existing text ever discovered, (approx. 5000 yr. old). The text is part of the Hindu doctrine, summarized in the Bhagavad-Gita.
It is not referred to as Karma in the Christian bible, (because Karma is an Urdu word). However, the principle is confirmed in the statement
“as ye sow, so shall ye reap” – you reap what you sow –
Where reap=harvest / sow=plant
If you plant corn, you will harvest corn.
If you steal, something will be stolen from you, etc
Please note:
This Meta-physical Law is intended to teach, not to punish or reward.
Being a Law, Karma acts impersonally, (without individual judgment).
Just like gravity is a physical Law, and simply acts on everyone the same without judgment of if the person has been good or otherwise.

No, such things are not real. As you say, there is no scientific evidence to support them. I accept nothing that has no scientific and logical support, e.g. the existence of karma, fate, kismet, destiny, gods, devils, ghosts, Bigfoot, Nessie, dragons, an afterlife, etc.

All that is real is fate and karma. The illusion is science. A great man once wrote " the only thing that interferes with my learning is my education" - Albert Einstein -

you are very naive
if you believe that
the only thing that exists
is what is recognized by science
what about all the things
science has yet to discover?
what about all the things
science cannot discover
simply because of its
fundamental assumptions
like for one
that there exists an objective world
in which we participate
read a little about subatomic physics
it sounds a lot like buddhism
dont you think that if you
go around being a bad person
that it will effect how
other people treat you?

Fate - yes. There is one possible out come for you, because you only die once. If anyone enitity was all knowing then they could predict (correctly) your fate.
Karma - from a biblical perspective, yes. Vengeance is the Lord's.
