I've cycled through all effects and at no time will all 6 speakers play. I have 6 channel direct selected on the back of the logitech control center. When I open the sound card, which is a Haupauge Win TV HVR-1600 NTSC/ATSC Combo and Realtek High Definition Audio and is set to 5.1 sound, the test function works properly. All six speakers produce the test sound fine, but when I play music or movies only some of them work depending on my effect setting. When I switch the 1-3 channel on the back of the logitech control center they seem to all work fine, however the sound card test doesn't work with all of the speakers, only the front, left right chanells. Is this normal? I don't have the owners manual, so I hope someone out there knows what the deal is. Thanks

Use the ONLY the sound card jacks ...not the Haupauge jacks.

For movies to play correctly with surround sound they must have that feature available & enabled in your Media Player ( whether a third party player or in Windows Media Player or Media Center).

Obviously the sound works in all speakers .... so it must be a configuration issue.

It takes a little trial & errorto get them working right ... I initially had the same difficulty with mine.
