I used to live in AZ. Many times. Best viewing spot, fewest visitors is on North rim (9,000 ft.). Takes an extra day to get there, worth it. Deer everywhere (called Kaibab deer), very docile. Best to visit anywhere in June.

I have been to the North Rim. It was a day trip between visiting all the Utah national parks.

I have. It was pretty neat for the first day but after that, it was just a big hole. I wish I could have been around to see it when it was a river.
