Each class you take will have just under three hours of class time per week. Classes usually meet for two 75 minute sessions or three 50 minute sessions.
When I was an undergraduate, I took five or six classes per semester. At some schools, four is typical.
This doesn't sound like a lot, but you should be spending three to four hours outside of class for every hour inside class.

Every school is different in what they consider a credit hour. At my school, a credit hour is 55 minutes, with a few exceptions. I have a 12-credit course load and am in class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:15-2:15, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:35-11:00 and 12:40-2:15, and on Fridays from 11:15-12:10.
Don't forget to add in travel time (for me it's a 10-minute walk each way) and about an extra five minutes before each class to make sure you get there on time.
Are you looking to have an active social and extracurricular life at college? Then I would suggest taking a 10-hour per week work study job on your campus. It minimizes travel time and will often give you nights and weekends off if the office you work for is closed during that time.

It depends on how your classes are scheduled and what your major is. If you take a major that requires a lot of labs or music lessons, you will be in "class" considerably more hours. If you are just talking about the basics, a minimum "full load" of 12 hours, will put you in class 12 hours a week. That would be four classes, meeting three hours each per week. You could be in class four hours each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or six hours, Tuesday and Thursday only, or an assortment of those. Some classes might meet once a week for three hours.

Usually a class is 1 hr and 45 minutes and you go to that class twice a week. If you are taking 3 classes which are 4 credits each, you are in school for approximately 11 hours. In a community college, the classes are 3 credits each. You can go to school 3 days a week, go on Saturdays, or whatever you want. Instead of going to school twice a week for 1 class, you can attend class once a week for the whole 3 1/2 hours.

You will probably be in class 12 hours a week (or you can opt for 15 or 18, usually 12 is the minimum for full time). Your classes will have different schedules. Some may meet only one day a week, and some will meet on a Monday/Wednesday or a Tuesday/Thursday or a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule. Usually a class that is 3 credit hours will meet either once a week for three hours, twice a week for one and a half hours or three times a week for one hour. Your weekly schedule will always be the same, and with classes that have a lot of people taking them, you will have a wide array of choices for day/time slots.

Usually however many credits you are taking is how long you will be in class (it's just an estimate though!). Besides, I'm sure it varies by school.
I currently go full time and I go Tuesday for 8 hours, Thursday for 4 hours, and Saturday for 3 hours.
But the greatest thing about it is that you get to choose your own schedule, so there's a lot of flexibility!

Wll you'll end up spending probably about 5-6 hours four days a week, but you only end up spending 4 hours in class. The other 1-2 hours are spent in between class.

Typically full-time means 12 hours enrollment, but you can be enrolled for as many as 18. I had one friend in college who was enrolled for 21! And he made straight A's....talk about an over-achiever! My highest I ever did was 18 hours. =)

remember that an hour really means 50 minutes, and the amount of hours you take is indicative of class time per week. for example say you take 12 hrs (minimum for full time status). thats usually 4 classes. lets say u take 2 on M W and F and the other 2 on Tue an Thu. you will spend 100 minutes in class on M W and F and 150 on tue and thu. thats a total of 600 minutes. 600 minutes divided by 50 minutes (per class) is 12 "hours". in real time its only 10 hrs a week, 1 hr 40 min on M W and F and 2 hr 30 min on T and TH

It depends on how many classes you have. Full time erollment is defined as 12-18 hours. If your closer to 12 hours you may not even have classses everday, if you at18 or more, you will most likely be in school for 6 per day, just like in high school.
