I am having an operation on Monday that will put me out of action for 6 weeks and i'm not looking forward to not having sex for that long. any tips on how to stop myself getting frustrated?

Its not a major operation but it will definitely prevent me from 'sorting' myself out, even bj's are a no go.

During your six week recovery period, try reading, watching tv, maybe work on a jigsaw puzzle, doing crossword puzzles, play Solitare, & oh, yah, spend more time on the computer if your recovery allows it, physically. Just remember while recovering from your surgery, that many people are much worse off than you after they have surgery, & wish that going without sex for six weeks was their only concern. Carry a picture of the ugliest person you can find and every time you feel the urge look at it and imagine having sex with that person. It's sure to take your mind off it.

Well having been in that situation for a period of about six months following a major rta and hospitliation you'll be surprised when it comes down to it (as to speak).

my god id die !! poor you cant you do yourself either ? prehaps try starting doing crosswords or something ? but the more you cant have something the more you want it goodluck with the operation and after keep coming on here hopefully that will help you too goodluck kiss mwah x

I wouldn't watch tv, those old complainers are right theres a lot of sex on it - especially if you can't do anything about it!

This sounds pretty tough to me. If you're in pain, you won't have sexual thoughts. Avoid the pain medications.
