That depends on your religious and moral code. Objective science suggests it is not harmful in that it is not statistically a predictor of violent crime; but there are other ways it may harm individuals. It can lead to the break up of relationships for example.

On the whole, I think our acceptance of violence in TV shows and video games is a far more destructive influence than pornography, which is generally just a depiction of the human form or sexual behavior.

In some ways yes. People can develop pornography addictions which can take them down a bad path when exploring sexuality.

Excellent question. With more college grads walking around is the world a smarter society. I might suggest reading "The Crazy Ape" (forgot author's name, but a PhD from Japan, written in the 60s) which examines the major institutions and their relationship to society, provocative book.

Many people think so. Many more do not.

As with many issues involving morality, it varies by religion and culture. If you accept all religions as valid, there is no single answer.
