it stops even though im still connected to the net i do have to turn off pc and restart it then it works fine again

check for spyware and viruses. If that isn't the point then you probably have inadequate ram, in which case I would recommend that you get a 1Gb. There is also the option of decreasing the number of programs running in the background becuase this takes up a lot of CPU usage and can contribute to your pc crashing.

If you have XP (SP2) goto microsoft.com and download Internet Explorer 7 (IE-7) :if you have XP but not SP2 you can download SP2 first then IE-7 problems should go away.

Another option is to not use internet explorer and download google Firefox - works better than IE-6 and I use it sometimes when the application calls it up.

Does it just stop working on a particular website? Clean out your temporary internet files etc that might help

Sounds like spyware/viruses. Run a spyware remover and virus scan

get a registry cleaner. that should help and it should fix the problem.
