Saudi Arabia is more about a dictatorship based on Islam, but if your idea of patriarchy is the self proclaimed elite and rulers hogging all the money they get from selling their countries natural resources, there you go.

Basically. It didn't even have a grounding in previous history, as men's rights were usually just as low as women's rights. The idea of patriarchy oppressing women through the public conscious is ludicrous. Show me the source, and then compare it to the benefits that women have, which could ALSO be attributed to patriarchal attitudes by some.
Seriously, show me a source that says patriarchy in the public consciousness is oppressing women. Better yet, make it authoritative. You can't, because there is no credible evidence. Women have equal+ rights already; trying to change society is just another blow that would do little more than establish supremacy.
Oh, and for Baba Yaga; most males realize that something like Save the Males is not exactly a reputable source. Some of its messages MAY be accurate, but from what I've read, it would be a coincidence. Other sites like Fathers For Life are on to something, although they can be a little extreme too. Such is the nature of "rights" activists, however.

What do Italian cars have to do with YOU being backward? There is no connection. Anyway, you've asked this question before, and I guess you didn't like the way it was going so you decided to ask again. Well, the answer is the same. PROVE that women were, indeed, ALWAYS allowed to vote, ALWAYS allowed to own property, ALWAYS allowed to apply for the same job as a man, and you may be able to prove your "conspiracy theory" theory. Can you do that? No? Didn't think so. I however, can prove that women WEREN'T allowed to vote, WERE NOT allowed to own property, and WERE NOT allowed to apply for the same job...and that's just the tip of the iceberg. And I can do it with PRIMARY SOURCES such as laws, census polls, legal documents and newspapers, NOT just "opinion," which is all that you idea is anyway, just opinion, with no facts to back it up. Certainly I have enough proof to completely debunk your "conspiracy theory" theory.
EDIT- YOU are the one that needs to "get a grip." Read some history, do some research. POST SOME EVIDENCE, then you can convince us all, right? Until you do that, you don't have a leg to stand on. And yes, SOME men (lower class) were not allowed the freedoms of the upper class...that actually, is ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE PATRIARCHY! Patriarchy is a social system that seeks to exclude the MAJORITY OF PEOPLE from the "rights" of a few. It's just that as more MEN gained more rights, WOMEN were still left behind, until the middle of the 20th century. The patriarchy has obviously declined, as Geoffrey said, in the past 50 years or so, no one would argue that it is just as oppressive as always. However, it is still there, in very subtle ways. And no one thinks that men (for the most part) are actively trying to "keep women down"...patriarchy is a SOCIAL SYSTEM that EVERYONE is held sway to, it is present in social biases and ideals regarding gender that say that women are not "good enough" for certain jobs, that men can't show emotions (unless it's anger), etc. YOU are, yourself, a prime example of those patriarchal attitudes.

No, it's not. Go back to school. Open your eyes.
EDIT: You don't even know what the f*ck patriarchy IS (refer to your update on your question: Who is that anyway ? Your son your father your husband ? Other womens father son or husband ?) so why would you call it a "conspiracy theory?" Even men (albeit men who are smarter than you) are aware of its existence - it's the most popular ideology in the world. If you want more information, please visit:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriarchy
EDIT II: "They" aren't a particular person. Patriarchy is an ideology that has penetrated society's consciousness. Perhaps you need to take a sociology class to become familiar with the power of ideas and ideologies in society - it's a powerful force. We're all products of patriarchal ideas and norms, and we can serve to further those ideas and norms.
Also, I don't know why you're belittling KA1227 - she gave an honest, truthful, well-thought out answer, and it answered your question perfectly. If you don't think women's rights are being attacked every day, look no further than right-wing politics and/or practically every major religion on earth. KA is right - if some people had their way, women wouldn't have any rights. And the very existence of that mentality is extremely threatening and scary. And it's not only rights that are threatened - it's disrespect for individual women on the basis of their genitals. If you cannot see that, you are truly blind to society.

Patriarchy is an absolute fact. Pay a visit to Saudi Arabia and tell me there's no such thing.
Patriarchy in the west has declined notably in the last 50 years but there can be no doubt that all known societies have been patriarchies to some extent.

It’s no theory.
The oppression of women is historically documented as is the existence of patriarchal societies. A patriarchy is simply a society in which men have all the power. Prior to the suffrage movement in the UK and US, only men could vote and hold public office. That is the patriarchy modern feminists are referring to. During this time, women were legally the property of their fathers or husbands. They were not recognized as people, only property. This is the oppression women experienced for hundreds of years! All of this is factual and well documented in history books.
While the legal oppression no longer exists, there are still prevailing attitudes among some (not all) men that are oppressive to women. Why these attitudes persist is something I cannot explain, but as long as they do exist, I will argue against them, because these attitudes, if unchecked, CAN reverse the legislation that provided rights to women. And I do NOT want to lose my right to vote, own property, to make my own choices about education, career, marriage and family.
EDIT: Please cite a source for your history book that is so different from mine. I have cited a definition of partriachy. The burden of proof that it never existed is on you.
Alexandra: Women today are not oppressed. We HAVE rights. But oppressive attitudes are still pervasive on our society. There are many people who would revoke those rights our foremothers fought so hard to gain if they thought they could get away with it. That is why I am vigilant in upholding the rights we have. You value education. How would you feel if the law prevented you from getting any additional education?

You have mentioned in previous postings that English is not your first language. There is no such thing as conspiracy, it is merely a fact. I don't know about your cultural background but the fact that you are constantly trying to instill your backward ideals on western women is never going to work. If anyone sounds paranoid that person would be you and I wish that you would stop wasting others time with your inane rants.

In previous societies (Amazons) it was the woman that ran the show and bossed the men around (kind of appealing in a kinky sorta way). :)
Believe me, some of the uber feminists (Germain Grear and co) sould visit Saudi Arabi if they think they are hard done by. They may realise that have a lot more freedom than they think.

They don't want equality; they want to be in charge. They honestly think they would do better if they were exclusively in charge.
Whether they have even thought about it or not is uncertain. Chances are they just have an issue that they feel strongly enough about that they don't have to apply any thought to it any more.
Everyone wants to be alpha really.
I personally reckon the world would be a better place if all the non-autistic people were killed off.
