I currently have a stupid Nextel phone, which by the way, is the WORST cell phone I have ever had. My contract expires soon, and I think that I want the Envy phone by Verizon. Any suggestions? I don't want to spend over $200 for a new phone, and I would like to have an easy texting phone.

Try t-mobile.com. I am a store manager for Sprint Nextel, and T-mobile. I don't like the CDMA network. Verizon is CDMA as well as Sprint. The reason for this is that the GSM network (i.e. T-mobile, Cingular) has sim cards that you can move from one phone to the next. If you go with CDMA, then you will be charged an activation fee every time you change your phone, and they will extend your contract (Sprint charges a $36 activation fee, and I am sure Verizon isn't too far behind). Plus, if you get a GSM phone, you can use any GSM phone, without notifying your carrier. For example, if you have T-mobile like I do, you can buy a Cingular phone and just move your sim card. Very simple, and you don't have to buy your phone through a dealer or pay any activation fee. Just a thought.

Why don't you try the 'VirginMobile'. You can either have pay as you go, set up to automatically have payment come directly out of your account. This phone can be used everywhere, there are no blank spots in getting or sending messages. You can have email sent to your phone, call waiting, messages, or what ever are all included in the phone. This was the one that was used in the movie 'CellPhone'

Well My cousin HAD The EnV, for a few months, and i liked it more than she did I think, But after a few months the outer-screen started chipping away, and the buttons started sticking on the keyboard, so she returned it for the Pink Chocolate, which is worst than the EnV.
