I have a problem getting my wireless to work on my main computer...my wireless is connected to the dsl box and it works now on my laptop but not on the main pc can anyone help me to get them both to work at the same time without having to switch to usb mode to get my pc's net to work.

u have 2 connect using cross over cable.
then check if ping u r getting
after that do proper proxy setting. use free proxy software like naviscope

There could be several causes.

First thing I would do is check to make sure the cables are plugged into the proper ports if they are then you may need to start from the beginning.

When you first hooked up your router did you load the drivers first then hooked up the router to the DSL modem and the router to the computer before pluging in the router to the power supply.

If you hooked everything up in the proper order and it is still not working then you need to confirm your network adapter is funtioning properly to do this go into the control panel and select system, then selet hardware and device manager. On the list that appears scroll down to network adapters and select it. Check to make sure it is enabled, if it's not then enable it.

If your network adapter is working fine then check your connection settings under internet options and make sure you have the Never dial a connection selected.

I'm gonna say u already have NIC's, and drivers installed, the internet modem plugs into the wireless router, go to internet connections and connect to the router...check the manual...google search wireless network security also!

sounds tome like your desktop doesn't have a wireless network card. just get an ethernet cable run it from the wireless router to the back of the computer internet plug in.

Does your main pc have a wireless network card? How are you hooking up your main pc to the wireless?
