The reason why u, myself, and many others have respect for Triple H, Rick Flair, Stone Cold, The Rock, etc. is because we know these people are dedicated to the business and we know that these people weren't always maineventers, some over these wrestlers were mid-carders or not even that and have worked there way to the top and thats why they earn much respect for that. When The Rock came to the wwf/e he was set to fight against Stone Cold on his Debut, but cena fights Kurt Angle one of the biggest stars to have a impact on the WWE i don't get it.
If hip hop wasn't mainstream he wouldn't be as popular because he lacks the wrestling skills and experience. The hip hop being mainstream makes him a good promo but thats all there is.
I always thought he should be a mid-carder, i don't he's capable of pulling that off, he's boring, again he can't wrestle.
Vince should be pushing Edge, or some other underused veteran thats been loyal to him for a long time, and knows the business very well. Let the rookies earn there way to the Championship not have it handed to them on a silver platter.

Cena is a tough guy who is good on the mic even when hes not rapping. His unique style and intensity reminds me a little of Triple H because I've never really seen anyone like him. He wouldn't be as good without hip-hop but he would still be a main eventer.

I doubt he would have been able to get a push without hip hop. At the time they first started his rapper gimmick it was something new and I'll admit even a little funny. It helped him be in touch with the "Malibu's Most Wanted" type that watch him and thinks he's cool. When he didn't have the rapper gimmick he was a nobody so if the rapper gimmick never came into play, what gimmick could they have used for
Cena to push him this far.

he is still a main eventer and has been since 2005. he is very talented and can really get the crowd into a match. he has the skills also, if u don't think so, watch the TLC match from Unforgiven between Edge and Cena.

I dont think he would. That was his introductory gimmick. Thats what he used to get the whole Cena thing started. That was the gimmick that started this snowball effect. I think that is the only thing that gave him the extra push up the ladder in the WWE. It certainly was not his in ring talent.

Yes, Cena is the most popular wresler in the WWE. And he was before he came out with his CD. I mean, with his new movie and everything. He is so exciting for fans to watch.
