Most legitmate scientists say that it is greatly over exaggerated! I notice he (Gore) does not drive fuel efficeint vehicles or have solar, wind energy either....Flip Flop flip flop...

There is planetary warming on all planets due to the sun's changing rate of energy output. The question is, is the warming of earth being exacerbated by greenhouse gasses. If the rate of temperature increase is taken into account, about 10 degrees Celsius in 12,000 years from the last ice age to today, of which 1 degree has been in the last 100 years. This coincides with the industrial age and an increase in pollution emission. The conclusion has to be that the dramatic increase in global mean temperature increase, from approximately 0.00075 a year to 0.01 a year is due to factors other than the normal solar cycle.
Now give me a thumbs down because you don't like my conclusions as you have a preconceived idea given to you by the oil companies.

Well how can we tell that there's huge warming trends in other planets, we don't have temperature records for them since we only had sophisticated measuring equipment for maybe 100 years. So while they might be warming, there's nothing to say it's not regular.
On Earth we have temperature records going back centuries, and we can apply technology to determine temperature records going back thousands of years, something we cannot tell at all from other planets since we can only examine them from afar, we have absolutely no way to determine their history.
Also, to address your bigger issue, while I do agree that there is maybe too much yellow journalism involved in climate change at the moment, I don't think by far that we should sit back and do nothing.
If nothing else, green tech saves me money, from more fuel efficient cars to better fuels(who really wants to pay current prices anyways? Just making some fatcats rich anyways), to better appliances that cut our electricity and water needs, to even just better lightbulbs and lighting to save power and save me hard cash! The problem is that industries like the car industry would rather get taxmoney bailouts rather than make these things because they're in bed with gas giants, how the hell does that benefit me?
Also, we're in the developed world, we have a LOT of money to pump into green tech, and we can make and sell it globally. If we do not then we miss out on a huge cash cow and economic boom. We need to work on this otherwise the Asian countries will take over R&D and we'll be stuck buying from them what we can make ourselves.
So again, green tech saves me money, I care about that far more than anything else.

You are making the classic false argument called the "red herring." The temperatures in the rest of the universe have nothing whatever to do with that on the Planet Earth, where we humans have to live and maintain our economic & social ives within a certain temperature & humidity range. As we do not live on Mars or Pluto, the temperatures there have nothing to do with us.
If the temperature of our planet changes we must learn to adapt to the changes. If a continuing rise in temperature will be detrimental AND if there is any concerted action we can take to halt or slow the rise, then we should discuss what actions might be reasonable & the costs thereof .

I am not a liberal. And I do not believe in global warming. But I'm going to attack your source because it's a blog. It's someone else's opinion, and it has 0% credibility. As I said I do not believe in global warming, but this solar warming theory is far worse!
Who is measuring these global temperatures on other planets? We have like what, 3 RC cars on mars? And that's satisfactory recording of temperature? Who's doing it on Pluto? Jupiter? Neptune? Uranus?! You don't really believe this, do you?

This is shaping up to be the biggest boondoggle in the history of the modern world.
This is a massive tax increase (on working people) by any other name.
Imagine the same folks who tell us Bush and Cheney helped plan the 9-11 attacks, that the war on terror is a gross exaggeration, and that the way to fix our disastrous public education system is to just keep pumping more money into it,
now want us to take Al Gores word for it that we need to implement a 350 BILLION annual tax increase on Americans
to 'reduce carbon emmissions'.
The same people who want to defund the Iraq war -while our troops are there! - because 'we can't define victory' have no problem with this massive taxation proposal even though even the most supportive scientists of this theory say the results would be miniscule! So what would be the definition of 'victory' in the carbon emmission war?
None, of course. FJust more taxation, more regulation, more government in our lives.
In short... a dream come true for huge government liberals.

No one ever said that planets (including the earth) do not undergo natural processes of warming and cooling. That is grade school science. Millions of years from now, there will be another ice age on earth.
The fact that there is natural warming/cooling does not mean that the contribution from man-made warming is negliglible or insignificant. Why is that so hard for you to process?

Well you can think it funny and not go along with the information. I have experienced many times how we have to have a problem before it is addressed.
Blowing up the Twin Towers, and how about Katrina.
The Conservatives would rather not do anything about these events in advance to prevent them from happening. They just want to keep the money in the till.
With that mindset I hope you don't have children.

in case you prefer to receive grant money for climate study, do you think of which you will get a cheque in case you're saying," i prefer the grant, as i think of that i will teach that the figures that the present paradigm is predicated upon are incorrect" ? the super environmentalist, David Bellamy, has been silenced, and refused airtime. there continues to be no shown causative link between the quantity of Co2 in the ambience, and an boost in worldwide temperatures. The WWWF pictures of the polar bears swimming have been taken in the Arctic summer time; while the ice cap in part melts, as they could no longer arise to image in the iciness. The ice became too thick! The East-Anglian uni study figures. "Oh! The figures do no longer experience our expectancies. Oh properly. save quiet. by way of fact all of us understand that we are splendid." while the perception, and the religion is extra considerable than squarely dealing with the valid doubts of fairly some non grant-supported scientists, technological awareness has been superceded by using religious zealots. As Oliver Cromwell colourfully stated." I pray thee, in the bowels of Christ, evaluate that thou mayest be incorrect."

you would be better off talking to a wall , people have already made their decisions on global warming which is strange considering it is not a political issue it is science .
