You've been checked by the doctor correct I'm assuming, Don't let your mind wander into disturbing thoughts like that, your going to be fine, Are you in good health? Yes there are sometimes risks with an age factor, but if your in good health, blood pressure etc. are fine then nothing to worry about, enjoy being pregnant with two wonderful bundles of joy.

There is no sense in worrying. If you are a healthy woman and you remain positive, that's the best thing you can do. I used to worry that something would be wrong with my son and daughter when I was pregnant (I have a 2 week old and an 18 month old) I would look at pictures of perfect beautiful babies and think about how beautiful mine would be. I would not allow myself to read articles about complications, problems wtih the birth or birth defects. I wouldn't even watch tv shows about people with dissabilities, etc. Your state of mind has so much to do wtih this. Worrying only puts extra stress on you and seeing that you ARE carrying twins, your body will be under enough stress already!!

Get excited about your twins. Go shopping for all the great things you'll want them to have- get educational toys (even if they aren't going to use them for a while!) to make you excited about how smart your kids will be!

Honestly, ANYone can have complications. And while statitics might make you worry, why not "be" the statistic that DOESN'T have problems!! You're going to do great, your kids will be beautfiul and smart. Remember that and enjoy this pregnancy! Make yourself feel good, buy cute clothes for yourself and love yourself. Everything will be okay.

Since you are over 35 your Dr should have run more test and he/she should give you the answers you are looking for.

I do know the risk of having a baby with down syndrome is 1 in 100 at your age. Did you have an amnio?

Life is full of risks, but you cannot worry about something that is out of your control. There are risks for every woman that is blessed with children just focus on the positive and do what you can. Take your vitamins, see the Dr., and take care of yourself and your babies. God has blessed you with a beautiful gift and he will not give you anything that you cannot handle just have faith!
Congratulations on this special time!!!!!

No need to worry , the doctors will perform a lot of test while you are pregnant and they will make sure that all will go well. My Dad finace had a baby boy at the age of 42 and the baby is perfect. (he started over)! Well congrats and enjoy your bundle of joys!

OMG you told me over email that you already have like 3 sets of twins or something, like you wouldn't know the risks and like your OB wouldn't have talked to you about this.. I think you are telling lies.

Even if there are, it's a little late to worry now. Just keep yourself as healthy as possible, and consider birth control in the future.

Don't worry- the doc will take precautions with you. One of my best friends had her first baby in her late thirties and just had her second at 42 and both children are healthy. Just hang in there- you should and the babies should be ok-

i think after you hit 35 youre considered advanced maternal age (i think its called) and they say the chance of downsyndrome becomes greater.
