Can someone give a heads up on the POWERBALL LOTTERY for the UK 2-3-2007. I have a certificate from a Mrs. Donjoyner. The winners conference is set for July,2007 is this a real lottery.

Did you get this in an email? Did you buy a ticket for this lottery?
If you didn't buy a ticket, it's a scam.
There is bunk email going out right now saying that they are from the European Economic lottery commision(or something very similar to that). I even got one myself.
SCAM!!!!

I honestly doubt it.
I just recieved notice that I won $500,000 in the Australian Lottery...funny thing though:
a) I never actually entered it (they say my email addy came up)
b) The money is in a bank in NIGERIA (now why would Aussi lottery money be held in Nigeria?!)
Anyway I sent them an email demanding they identify themselves with provable info so I could check out their legitimacy...big surprise, I haven't heard back!

NO, IT IS NOT REAL!!! ANd they scammed my Mom's (step-mother) for thousands of dollars!!! If you fall for this, you will indeed get taken for thousands, or they will make you have to file "Bankrupcty!!!" I promise you this!! They sent me one, too, and I called mom, to tell her, and she said:"If you didn't play its a scam, and then proceded to tell me about her step-mom getting taken for thousands from this same lottery!!! Dont fall for it!!! You will regret it, I promise you!! If you only knew how many people have gotten this same email, and asked this same question, and I've gone out of my way to answer their question first to help them from losing thousands of dollars, instead of answering another question that I wanted to answer instead!!! So, please, dont let them scam you too!!! BE VERY, VERY Careful of SCAM-ARTIST'S, online!!!!
