I love southern rock.I've been listening to it for years.I have a really big album collection and I've seen them all in concert.
I'm the go to guy in my family for S.R. info.
My favorite ever is those two blond headed brothers that had a band.One of them got killed in some kind of accident.
They were great.Very soulful.
They had 2 drummers and one of them was black.People would get mad about having a black guy in a southern band.I thought it was cool.I would tell them that he worked for the white drummer to calm them down.

You are thinking of my favorite Southern Rock band the Allman Brothers band.
The two blondes were Gregg Allman (Hammond B3 Organ and Lead Vocals) and his brother the late Duane Allman (Slide guitar god). Duane was killed in a motorcycle accident October 29th 1971 just when the band was ready to explode.
The two drummers were Butch Trucks and "the black guy" Jamoie. Both of which are still in the band. Butch's nephew Derek is now in the band as well.

southern rock? or a band that came from the south but does metal? pantera is ruler of texas but as far as southern music...skynyrd
