You do your best. We all face adversity. Some are just better at rising above it.

It's done, so don't beat yourself up over it. Just do what you can to fix it and move on.

you've not really explained what the actual problem is that you've made.

if its just the fact that you've moved away and not sure that you'll like the people, all i can say is give it a chance sometimes making a big move away from what you no and have no support around you can be really scary, but through time you might find it will be the best thing you've ever done
if not then you can always say that you tried and it never worked out but at least you won't always be wondering or have regrets later on wishing that you had

if that is not what it is then post some more info and we'll try to help you.

whatever good luck its never as bad as it seems when you take a step back or through time.

Did you make a move that you can't change - can you not move back where you came from? How is this mistake going to affect the rest of your life and progress - you know every day we make decisions that sometimes have a great affect on us - but to think that it's so big that it will affect your progress?.......surely it can't be that bad or you don't have some options. Remember NOTHING IS CARVED IN STONE.

The way I see it is you should try and rectify the mistake.

If its major, and I presume it is, if its going to affect the rest of your life, confess and admit to it, i suppose.

Alternatively, if you can't face that, think about the people who this mistake is going to affect.
If you care for these people, talk to them, but think through the possible consequences.
If its only going to affect you, measure up exactly how bad it is and think about whether some change may be good for you.

Whatever the mistake is, it has been made and what you can do about it is:
sort it out or,
get on with your life.

Good luck, I hope all is ok with you.

Wow - you're really blowing this out of proportion. It sounds as though you have come out of your comfort zone and are getting a bit freaked out about it. Calm down dear! You don't know yet that you are not going to get on with the people you are living with. If it doesn't work out then find somewhere else to live. Don't worry about worrying - deal with the challenges as they arise. It is always scary when you make the move away from familiar people and surroundings, but once you settle down you will be so proud of your achievement. Enjoy the challenge - you're going to be just fine.

It depends on what exactly your big mistake is.

Presuming you haven't killed anyone or your not in jail, step back and take a breather. Often worry prevents you from seeing the bigger picture. You situation may not be as bad as you think.

Find someone you can trust to talk to. If you can, confess your mistake and try to make amends.
Life is all about mistakes. Don't ever think that mistakes can hold you back forever.....it may take a while to recover but it will happen eventually.

Might seem really bad, but I believe that everything happens for a reason and that if it doesnt kill you it will make you stronger. I went through a really tough time last year and kept asking myself why i had made all the wrong choices until a few months later i realised that they were actually the right choices. At the moment you might not be able to see it but things will work out for you.....Good Luck

As the others have said, what did you do, if you tell us we may be able to sort, sometimes when you discuss a problem it turns out not to be that bad, thanks for telling us what your problem is- it is perfectly natural to be a little scared and nervous when you move, but, once you get to know the people around you and they get to know you that will ease. I am sure you will soon have lots of new friends, I am sure you will be keeping in touch with your old mates so they can tell you what is going on in your old town, likewise you should let them know how things are going for you too.

More info would be helpful, but everyone in the world has made mistakes - big ones like you too. In my experience - when looking back at them - they were just turning points where my life took another course. Sometimes it wasn't very nice, but because of them I got to where I am now.

If you worry that much as to the extent you described, the best thing is move out again, rather than live in fear.
