For example, when Jesus (by the way that isn't his real name, there is no J in Hebrew) fed the five thousand by breaking a few loaves of bread and a couple of fish the disciples gathered up 12 leftover baskets. The text doesn't say why though, and it moves right along. Did you know why there were 12 leftover baskets? I do and I think it is pretty neat. There are lots of things like that in the Bible, have you ever found one? If so, what was it?

As a student of the Bible, I have learned many fascinating things from reading it. The most recent of which was that Luke was a legal administrator and probably wrote his gospel as an assignment from the church.

I've also recently learned that John the baptist was considered the only prophet of his time who was the legal administrator of the affairs of the Jews (the kingdom of God on earth). The Jews had to obey him or be damned by their own law. I'll bet THAT was a sticky wicket.

So, why were there 12 baskets left over?

The bible is a group of letters, by prophets, and disciples, written to cities, in hopes that they would turn to Christianity. There are alot of letters missing. many priests, and a King, over the centuries, have put books of the bible in, and removed ones they didn't like. the bible is not a "complete works", it's just one man's pick of what he liked. It's like the game telephone, when you whisper something into a person's ear, and pass the message down, sometimes the words get scrambled, sometimes the words get lost. i think that maybe Jesus did exist, but the Jews wished so badly that he was a savior, that they over exaggerated the things he did, and called them "miracles!" like in 40,000 years from now, someone will be saying Bush could fly, and had x-ray vision!

God's got His favorite number's and my Ex showed me, something I found pretty cool......(He & I are still really good friends) and may even reconcile in the future, as companion's only....However, he showed me the "Trinity" through not only "The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit", but through Abraham, Isaac, and the lamb, that spared Isaac's life!!! Amazing, hoh!! And we feel that was God trying to show Abraham, about the Trinity, as well......Pretty cool, hoh!!??

Jesus is the English form of Ιησους (Iesous), which was the Greek form of the Aramaic name יֵשֻׁעַ (Yeshu'a).

There are lots of stories in the Bible that have to be taken on faith alone - don't question the word of God!
