Pros:

- Porn in more and more places.
- Easier access to larger and larger files from remote locations.
- More portability of information.
- Easier to share knowledge.

Cons:

- Internet addiction.
- Information overload.
- More information means potentially more useless as well as useful information that one must wade through in order to do research and find worthwhile answers to questions.
- Favoring internet socialization while compromising face-to-face contact. Leads to socialization problems especially for children.

I think it's great for finding information and socializing. However, that's a double edge sword, since there is a lot of misinformation on the web, the relationships you form are very superficial. Also, it has replaced books and note-taking, which ultimately affect the way kids learn and think.
