does any one for of an free antivirus that i can download ?

hi

i have windows xp service pack (2) and i would like to no if some one no of a free antivirus that i can download not a free trial, because a free trial will only detect a virus but not remove it , to remove it i should subscribe with them .. i want to download a free antivirus that can scan my computer and if it detect a virus that can also remove them for me , with out me subscribing ....

AOL has a free anti-virus progam that's pretty good.
