Looks to me like he just wanted to reform Judaism. And now look at all the chaos and death that has resulted from not realizing that.

Jesus only tried to reform Judaism, but he was martyred and killed for his teachings. It wasn't until the Council of Nicaea in 325 C.E. that Christianity became a formal religion.

Judaism believes in a savior coming to save us. Jesus was that savior, although many did not want to believe. He can save you too. We are not perfect, but we should at least try. Read John 3:16. Jesus prefers peace and that includes inner peace. To kill innocents in his name would be blasphemy. Christianity is the continued Judaism, it fulfills Judaism.

Again, a question for religion, not politics.

But I'll answer.

Jesus Christ did not want to start a new religion. He just wanted to bring Jews closer to God. It is unfortunate that people think Christ was a Christian, but Christianity didn't exist (and this is recognized by the Christian faith) until AFTER Christ's death.

his purpose was to be the ultimate sacrifice for the jews. So no he didnt intend to create a new religion but that is what came about after the jews rejected Jesus' sacrifice
