I have completed my engineering in computer science. While i was doing my engineering i had many medical problems and i used to do a lot of reading about my problems which led me to read a lot about other problems too.
I have read a few basic first/second semester medical science books and found them very interesting.
My point is that even though i am good in computer engineering, i am very much interested in becoming a doctor and i feel that i have the patience & ability to do it.

So now how do i persue this. Do i need to do a graduate level course in medical science or can i directly join a MBBS university. What is the criteria for getting into a Medical college in USA,Canada,UK,Australia.

I would like to thank you in advance for your answer.

There are a number of fine medical colleges in Canada....I happen to teach at the University of Toronto. Acceptance into medical school is very competitive. For every seat available there are about 200 applicants.....about 200 begin the course every year. Almost all of them have a BSc in one of the biological sciences...and many of them have an MSc...because they have not been accepted and have taken another year to get an MSc in the hope that this will help them be admitted. To study here you need a student visa. To get a student visa you need a letter of acceptance from a college or university...and a sponsor...someone who is willing to be responsible for you while you are here. Further information can be had from the University of Toronto website... www.utoronto.ca
