The U.S. of A has 50 states. What state is:

The most Northern?

The most Southern?

The most Eastern?

The most Western?

Not a trick question like the North Pole questions. This is just plain geography

North is Alaska
South is Hawaii
West is Alaska
East is Alaska (as the Aleutian Islands stretch across the 180º line of Longitude, into the Eastern Hemisphere, and up the edge of the Russian Federation. )

here is a link to map quest:
http://www.mapquest.com/atlas/?region=namerica
click onto the U.S.A and it will zoom in and show you what states they are.

Here is another map with a list of states & territories
http://usa.usembassy.de/travel-states.htm

it is nice to get answers from others but it is always better to double check it your self on a map just incase thier wrong.

PS. it looks to me on the map that ALASKA gets both titles of NORTH & WEST. look at the first map link. look at the separation lines that say 140 W & 160 W. Hawaii is inbetween those lines. But just streching a little bit farther outside those lines is ALASKA. it is inbeween 160 W & 180 W. does that then mean it is farther west than hawii? it looks it to me.

Take a look for yourself.
Maybe you could ask your teacher about it.

My guess:

north..alaska
south..hawaii
east... Maine
west..alaska

but you will have to check. don't know for sure.
good luck.
