The baby will be fine. Even if you did not have the shot chances are this if your first baby it would be fine. It is future childres who would have the problems if you did not get the shot.
I am RH negative and I had the shot a few weeks ago and if baby test positive they will give another shot at the hospital. I had no side effects at all.

I am RH Negative and all my children are RH Positive. I had to have the shot with each pregnancy. My children were born healthy and are now parents themselves. The only time they give you the Rhogam shot is when your partner has a positive blood type and there's a possibility that the baby could also be positive or if the father's RH factor is unknown. The shot prevents your negative blood from contaminating the baby's during birth. This can cause miscarriage or fetal death. If the baby's positive blood mingles with yours, you could get RH disease. The nurse will give you the shot in the muscle of your butt or hip. This anti serum is thick and takes a few minutes but is required because of your blood type. You will also be given a card to carry in your wallet that identifies you as having had the Rhogam shot. With each pregnancy after this one you will have to get another dose of Rhogam.

You'll be fine and will deliver a healthy baby as long as you follow your doctor's instructions.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about. My blood type is A - . I am 37 weeks pregnant with my third child. I had my rhogam shot at 28 weeks. Thats all you need to do is make sure you get your injection. My children are very healthy and I had no complications during labor, nor did my children at birth or there after. The outcome of you having a healthy baby is the same as if you weren't rh negative as long as you have the rhogam. Don't worry!!!! Congrats on your pregnancy and best of luck to you and your baby!!!

I have 3 children and I'm RH-. My 3 kids are all healthy and I had the injection with each child. There really is only a problem if you didn't get the injection because then your baby might be affected. It's very good that you already know that you need to get the injection. You might also need the injection again after birth depending on the blood type of your baby.

Good luck and no worries!

Don't let anything worry you about the Rh factor.
My boyfriend's mother is Rh negative. 4 of her 5 kids were Rh positive. They received the injection and they're all healthy. My sister and a co-worker are also Rh negative and they have given birth to healthy children. If you get your injections your baby should be fine.
If you're still worried, talk to your Dr.

When I was pregnant with my son (which is now 5 months old) I found out during the normal blood tests at the beginning of the pregnancy I was b-. I got a little nervous when they gave me the shot. I ask the doctors a million questions. Its very very rare for the babies blood to mix with yours. There would have to be some type of injury to result in that. But even that, that is why you get the rhogam shot. To prevent anything from happening if you somehow you do injure yourself.
Also my doctor said don't believe everything you read off the
internet. Good luck with your little one! Hope I could help.

I am Rh negative as long as you get the shot you and your baby will be just fine. That is what the shot is for. The only time to worry is if you don't get the shot. Then there is a chance of complications. But you and your baby will be just fine. Good Luck!

I'm also RH negative. I am 28 weeks andj ust had the Rhogam shot this week. From everything my doctor told me- there is nothing to worry about as long as you get the shot. Then your body won't build antibodies against the baby. So as long as you get the shot during pregnancy, and after the baby is born (if necessary) you will be protected.

The baby and you will be just fine. My mom had a negative blood type and I turned out fine. :) Don't worry and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.
