Sex, curry and a walk - not necessarily in that order!

Good luck and bless!!

I found that the best way 2 induce labor certainly is walking up n down the stairs constantly. Do not try those herbal methods they are often ineffective. Ive not found excessive sex 2 work either. Also, tightening n loosining ur stomach works well too, it can cause u 2 have real contractions n 2 go in2 labor!!! DO NOT DRINK CASTOR OIL, THE ONLY THING IT WILL DO 4 U IS KEEP U ON THE TOILET ALL NIGHT LONG!

You will hear every "old wives tale" there is. Only your Dr. knows your personal history.
If you are so close to delivery, why can't your husband get leave? Sounds like that would take a lot of pressure off of you.
If you are in a military hospital (or even otherwise) couldn't your Dr. explain the situation to the "powers that be"?
The only thing I have ever heard that did not sound like an old wives tale was to take walks. At this point, I would hope you would do this with your husband or someone at your side.
And hey!! Maybe today is your day! You never know! I do know for a fact that stressing yourself out will do you and your baby zero good!!
It will all work out.

And, I too thank you for your many sacrifices you and your family have made being in the military.

walking up and down stairs is very effective, having relations with your husband also induces labor, But sometimes these methods don't work, I understand that you would like him to be with you at this great time of life, but in all honesty, this beautiful child you and your hubbie created will just come out on his or her own scheduled time. I wish you all the best, a speedy and quick labor. Take care, good luck!!!

When I was pregnant with my son...I had sex a ton of times...the one day...and ate parsley flakes(1tsp) its an old chinese way to induce. also...if you own a breast pump you can try pumping, it sends your body into contractions after a little bit. Remember 30 min. on each breast though...then give it a break for a while. Your nipples will start to really hurt if you keep doing it. I was 2 cm when it started...and I went in labor that night. Had my son the next day. Good luck!

I'm not sure of any "medical" ways to self induce labor, but I know walking A LOT in your last days of pregnancy is a great way.

Walking. Not running or jogging or even power walking, but walking. Walk around the block, walk around the house. Just go out for strolls.

My son is in the Air Force and was in Spangdahlem for 3 years. He is now back in the states, but will be in for another 2 years. He and his lovely wife have recently given me an adorable new grandson.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your military service. And as an Air Force mom, I send my love to you and your husband, and my gleeful congratulations on your new bundle of joy! May God be with you!

well, i didn't do this on purpose, but the day before i was due, i cleaned my entire apartment...my mom was coming to town and i wanted to make sure everything was clean...i'm not the kind of person who does a little here and a little there...i cleaned it all at once...no heavy lifting or anything...but i broke out a sweat...

i also ate an entire bag of popcorn for dinner than night...i went into labor that same night, by 1:20 am (on the day she was due), my baby girl was born

i heard walking helps and my grandma said she ate an entire box of fig neutons and that made her go into labor...she wasn't trying, it just happened...

Walk, walk, walk! And make love with your husband both natural ways to induce. Walking pushes the baby's head down and love makes the water break. Both great ways!

I wouldn't do it, things will happen alone, specially, when you are dialating, so go to the hospital and they will give you something to induce the labor. They also say, rubbing your nibbles will help.
