It's the name, fame and money and most probably all three are linked. Just three years ago girls didn't liek Abhishek Bacchan much but now once he has become a part of few hit movies he has become quite popular among girls. Hritik Roshan is another example. Shahrukh Khan has a very good sense of humor. I used to hate Shahrukh Khan too much. In fact I never watched any movie except Dar before 2004. But once I came to Spain in 2004 I wanted to watch hindi movies and only movies available on net were of Shahrukh Khan. So I had no choice. Then I started finding out the positive things about him. Mostly he makes family movies. He is always associated with big banner movies so more in terms of money involved and the quality. Here quality referes to photography, print etc. not the story or direction. Also his movies always have some funny part. For example in K3G he was acting very funny after he went to London. And also one good thing is that in his movies star cast is always good. So all these things make his movies superhit and in other way make him famous and popular. I still hate him because his acting is horrible and he feels very proud of himself and he thinks whatever he does audience will accept him. But still he has a lot of qualities.

Well sometimes people are just crazy about a person.Its ur personal choice.Sometimes there might not be any particular reason for that.Or sometimes it could be the electrifying personality,the looks or the greatness of that person.But if u look at SRK taking into account these 3 things ,I really don't think there is much to him.But I can tell you that I never used to like him in the beginning.But after watching some episodes of KBC 3,I was struck by his humility.And u can understand that it is not fake bcoz unless he is a good actor which he is not ,I am sure he couldnt have put up a fake show of humility.

Well what to tell U that already hasn't been said about SRK...ppl usually have strong emotions, thoughts and opinions when it comes to him, be it in positive or negative way..(the negative once come from jealousy & missunderstandings)..simply because he is speacial and thereof capebable of ignighting those kind of reactions in ppl...and if u didn't realise what's special & unique about him till now, well then theres no help for u...lol
I think SRK is amazing for warious of reasons, too complicated and long for me to list it here...so Im cutting it in short, simple and obvious answer: I like him because he is himself !....He is special simply coz of who/how he is and the way he carries out and acomplishes anything he sets his mind to !!!

He's in his 40s and yet looks cool
He is great at his job - acting. (See DON)
He is very funny.
Doesn't get into unwanted troubles.
Is humane
What else does a celebrity need???
