No, it is NOT okay to drnk chocolate milk. I would suggest you drink lots of water. Also, sucking on mints, hard candy, or cough drops can relive the pain a little. You may want to go to the pharmacy and pick up some spray for your mouth. I don't exactly remember the name but it sort of numbs your mouth out so you don't feel it. I can definitely tell you to stay away from orange juice, milk, dairy products, and citrus fruits as they will make your sore throat worse. I would suggest that if it does not get better soon, you should go to a doctor as it might be strep throat. Hope this helps!

Hot tea with honey is the bomb for a sore throat.

You can drink cold chocolate milk, but it's probably not the best thing for a sore throat. My dr told me to avoid milk when my throat is sore because it causes swallowing to be more difficult. He also said to avoid sodas and acidic beverages like Orange juice.

Drink apple juice if you want something cold.

I wouldn't. Milk does not help. Ice cream, Jello, tea with honey, untoasted bread... Soft noodles and such. Feel Better!

Yes you can. Anything that doesn't aggravate the tender tissues. Also ice cream, jello, and a flavored broth.
