Its a classic "first impression bias question" meaning when someone see another person for the first time they make a lot of judgments about that person based upon appearances - and often those biases will remain until they get to really know the other person

It basically means that a stranger may see your outter appearance, but has no idea what you are about or who you are. This is why they say never judge a book by its cover. Looks are not everything. This is why you should look deeper than skin to find the real person. Never judge by looks and money.

A stranger can only observe objectively since he has no personal connection to what he is viewing. He doesn't know the subtext of what is REALLY going on; only people familiar with the scenario can know that.

one word, mi amiga.. ignorance.. the stranger can see almost everything but doesn't understand (or SEE if you like that) what he sees..
much like the saying, someone who has sight but has no vision..
