Will sitting in front of a fan when your sick make you worse? even if you already have pnemonia?

Only if you throw a vial full of germs into the fan. Germs cause flu, not air.

yes, this is definately an old wives tale. Trust me, sitting in front of a fan doesn't make you more or less sick.

It can't help to sit in front of a fan because it will dry the air out and you need moisture to loosen the congestion causing pneumonia.

Yea, sounds like something my grandma would say. She would also tell me not to go out in the cold with wet hair. She told me when I was pregnant not to reach over my head because the babies cord would strangle him. She also told me not to have sex when I was pregnant because I could harm the baby. I could go on for days!

No. You get sick because of germs not moving air. If you are already sick your environment can help you get better or prevent you from getting better. For example, If you have to use all your energy to stay warm at night, you will have no energy to fight off the flu.
