All anti depressants cause this in males and females, hard to answer, if the paxtine hydrochloride is working for you that is a good thing, but the orgasm thing cant be helped. If you stop the paxil you have to wein off it u may become more depressed or anxious if you stop. If ur prob is anxiety try xanax or valium instead of anti depressants. You could always try herbal sexual increase remedies, like horny goat weed for women, if not hopefully you have a caring partner who will put in that extra effort, so you can reach climax . Maybe try introducing a vibrator, just relax be persistant and have a great time just know that it is a normal side affect, try not to stay on antidepressants for too long otherwise you'll have to live with them forever, also you may start feeling depressed/anxious again in few months time, Dr will increase dose and therefore the viscious cycle of medications begin. Glad you are doing well though, I have a personal negative opinion about anti D's, only cause ive tried 5 different ones and they all made me worse. Good luck with all that, see if u can make the meds a shorter term thing, if possible, and remember if anxiety is problem try prescribed benzodiazipine medication (xanax, valium). hope u go well.

The unfortunate side effect of ANY antidepressant is low libido or taking forever to achieve orgasm. It does get better for some and doesn't for others.
However, there are other forms of antidepressants that have less sexual side effects. Talk with your doctor about changing to a different antidepressant. Wellbutrin is one that has less sexual side effects. It's difficult when the medication helps every where else, but then inhibits you from achieve an orgasm, that is why a lot of people go on and off antidepressants which does more harm than good.

No it probably wont change - you could try a different ype of anti-depressant, but unfortunately a lot of antidepressants have similar side effects - although it varies with different people
Question: if you are taking it for depression - did you orgasm easily when you were depressed?

Version of the process.
Re using my account.
You only do something different.
Re only asking for that because they went through it.
Different people take it.
That stuff still to come, if you will.

A lot of anti-depressants will effect your sex drive over time. Unfortunatly it is one of the side effects listed for the type of drug. I don't know if it does get better over time- I think it might stay the same. You might want to bring it up with your doctor

No, it will get worse the longer you take an antidepressant. Try to get to the root of your depression and get off of the medication if possible! Omega 3 (flaxseed oil) helps and lots of sunshine and exercise helps, too!

I'm a guy, but I had the exact same problem. It took forever.
It didn't get better for me. I wound up going off the medication.
