This girl is not your ex. She is the apple of your eye- the soul that you care enough about to respect her wishes, do what is in her best interest. Why should you or she have to wear a title? It's no one else's business. Consider this your time to do well for you and keep her on your mind since she warms your heart.

You are not asking what you should call her now. You don't want to call her ex because you still miss her. But I can tell you that, if she really love you, she won't ask for a break. If she blame you for your call, she can turn off the phone while she's during the class, or, you can change the way by sent message and ask whether she is free now or not, instead of ringing her. Lots of things can do instead of take a break, if you both really love each other. Right?

As an adult I can probably set your mind at ease. The term 'ex' is used when a committed relationship fails. Such as being engaged. If you get the ring back she was your ex fiancee. The same applies to marriage, ex husband or ex wife. There is no such thing as ex girl friend, unless you are engaged to her. Friends are friends forever, whether you see each other often, call each other often or just once in a while. There might be critics out there that disagree with this, but think about it before you do.

Well I think ex is a nasty word too. I allways hate it when my husband bring up the word ex because its normally when he talk about his past relationships. You can use any term. Like my old flame, my recent girlfriend, past girlfriend, old lover.
You know stuff like that. So I hope maybe this help you!

I call my ex's my friend. And I say, We use to talk but we are still close friends. I know what you mean though it sounds like a harsh word. I hate to call my husband ex but I know hes not mine anymore and noone will understand that if I don't say ex-husband when referring to him.

You have no integrity. You aren't being honest.
You don't have to breakup to focus on education or your career. You just focus on your education or career. Breaking up is about having the option of dating others without cheating.
Go away until you can be honest.

You are putting way too much energy and thought into such a little word "ex". Call her by name, nothing says you have to explain who or what relationship she is to you.
Just say......we used to date but now we are just friends.

Because she is contentedly referring to you as her ex you just have to learn to live with reality. You just want her cause she agreed to your separation. Had she said "no no no please don't leave me." you would have kicked her to the curb. For her own good of course! Grow up you dumped your ex live with the results.
