It's easy for us to fall into this we tend to get so comfortable in the life we eche out for ourselves. I'm grateful to the Lord for the good job that I have. I try to Never Pass someone up asking for a handout on the corner. the Lord blesses each and every one of our lives in some way or another can we not give? if we have? and even more so if we have not? Bless you, Gary S.

Hi Burcu
Yes, I believe in helping other people, that is life's purpose in general. That doesn't mean that you have to dish out thousands of dollars everytime someone is in need. I don't have that kind of money ... yet!
But generally speaking, everbody needs a little help now and again..maybe just a smile or a kind word, or a shoulder to cry on, or words of wisdom when needed...there are so many ways that we can help others.
Kindness is one of the easiest ways to help people. If you show kindness towards other people, they might just realise that life is worth living and that their and other peoples lives matter! When you are kindhearted, you will without saying feel the need to do something for someone else. But then it will come to you...and you will see, when you are kind to others, you will reap the rewards.
I have written and published a book on this matter and on the purpose of life, and some of my personal experiences, but if you need to contact me, you are welcome to mail me on tinabelb@yahoo.com. Like someone said: "The purpose of life is to help others. If you cannot help them, would you at least not hurt them!"
TAKE GOOD CARE Tina-Bella

I do a lot of volunteer work and work through my church. I work with kids and teach Sunday school and do random volunteer work with Habitat, a women's shelter, and a couple other programs. Sadly, I don't think I give with my full heart. I get so sick of feeling obligated, but I feel guilty and I have made commitments, so I do the work anyway, but not with a fully joyful or giving heart. So, I think that takes away from the good I am trying to do.

I believe I help others. I am currently doing some volunteer work with a labor union (SEIU) to help win union representation for myself and 60,000 other Security Officers in New York City. I believe that helping others is the key to a better world.

First you have to help yourself!
Last year, I gave more to charities than I earned!
Why, because that's what makes the Universe go round!!!
Here's the way you can help yourself:
Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!
"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.

i helped my community for over 30yrs. as a volunteer firefighter.(it wasn't just about fighting fires) it was helping people in many ways. also, at Christmas time i have given needy families everything for a good meal.(turkey, noodles, potatoes, milk, stufffing. etc.) & there are other thing i've done to help people. it really make you feel good all over knowing you've helped someone & often they will help others in some manner (the domino effect)

when i'm feeling selfish, i automatically try to do something for someone else, no matter how big or small. it takes me out of myself, takes my mind off myself. and it feels good to give as well. another trick is to do something for someone without letting them know you've done anything... like in the winter i will wipe snow off of cars around me in a parking lot i am parked in.
