Not necessary. A doctor is always a doctor. A teacher is always a teacher. A lawyer is always a lawyer. Age is not a bar. It will be unfortunate if parliment restrain legal practitioners after 60 years of age. It will be a great loss to the people of this country if it happens.

Yes. Legal practitioners are suppose to practise as long as they have capability to do so. However, as any other profession, this legal way has also become one of the source of earning wealth and acquiring many things. After certain age, man understands it is better to be free from work and have a peaceful life with routine and thoughts about Almighty. The same way, legal practitioners are to be made understood that young lawyers are there to acquire their wealth and they can as well juniors with support of not taking money and advising others only. So, naturally the passing of new bill in parliament is quite necessary to fix age of practising by lawyers in the present cirumstances.

If the legal practioner is enrolled in the roll of the state bar council he should be allowed to practise. If not legal practioners above the age of 60 should be restrained from practising by passing a new bill in the parliament.

Why the restrictions intended on legal practitioners, past 60 years? Will you do that to medical professionals, chartered accountants, politicians and so many other free lancing professionals? I think such restrictions are contemplated by the legal fraternity, because they want to prevent the competition to them from those who had enrolled themselves in the bar, after a stint of service in Govt. or private sector and come after retirement. If the retired employees are able to deliver the goods, why to prevent them?

Don't you know when any case is taken up in a court only one lawyer can win. We also know tat many times the one winning is a 'senior' above 65 years of age and has Won the case where the person who has "committed the crime" is acquitted.

The learned Judge who himself has to retire by 65 knows that the person who has committed the crime is getting released from the case because the prosecution has not "Proved" the guilt.

Why, after 60 they go mad or are you insane, now. People, want to increase Supreme Court Judges' age from 65 to 70 and you want to decrease their age. People in the age of 80 are running the Country, States & Conglomerates and you want to decrease Legal Persons age.

Many people may hold the view that at 60, a lawyer is really mature, knowledgable and experienced, and, therefore, he /she is very good in the profession! Perhaps, it would be good to give the lawyer at that stage good assistants -- and due credit and respect in a profession which gains from that kind of age and maturity!

I see it as a marketplace issue. If you need a lawyer choose some young whippersnapper who doesn't have any experience. If I need a lawyer I'll choose someone who's been around the block a few times and has contacts from twenty years ago who still owe him a favor and intimate knowledge of the system.
