if you wee wee in a swimming pool the water goes purple?

I always thought it was pee green. I am colourblind though and whoever told me must have been taking the piss ;)

I don't know as I would never wee wee in a swimming pool. That's disgusting.

yes if you wee wee in a pool it turns purple because of the chemicals

Yes they can put a chemical in the water that reacts with urine and makes a purple tint, this is to put people off from peeing in the pool. In most pools they don't bother because it is too expensive to use but if they say they use it people might not pee in the water.

It's false. There is no know chemical that when added to pool water, will make it turn blue or purple when you go pee pee. This is just a legend start to keep people from doing it in the first place.

There was rumours that some pools had a chemical put in that turned purple when urine came in contact with it. I don't know if this is true or not and I've never actually seen it myself.

I heard this when I was a kid. I dont remember what it was but I heard if you peed in a pool your crotch of the bathing suit would turn purple. Lets just say that I know that this isnt true and leave it at that lol. :)

Possibly, i once did a wee on my ex bird while drunken sleepwalking and she went a kind of purple colour.

lol....no! Actually, if the water is properly chlorinated the 'wee wee' just goes away pretty much - it gets killed by the chlorine.

No it is a myth!! It is what our parents told us to prevent us from peeing in the pool!! I believed my mum until about the age of 10!!
