Not gothic country; more like Kurt Weill having sex with the lead singer for Rammstein while the soundtrack to Cabaret plays in the background......

Gothic country... haha I love it. The only song that I think they sound the slightest bit country in is 'Teenagers' and I've told other people that I think they sound country in that song, but no until now no one else agreed with me...

Well personally, I don't really care about themes and that stuff...
I just really like the band and their songs...

All the My Chemical Romance albums have a story in them...

In the black parade... there's this guy "the patient" who has a heat cancer problem... death comes in your most vivid memory... in his case it's a parade...

In I gave you my bullets, you gave me your love & three cheers for sweet revenge... there's these "Demolition Lovers" this guy and this girl "Helena" and their town gets overrun by vampires and they die in a shoot out in the desert and the guy finds himself in hell.. he needs to get 100 souls to be with Helena again...

I like all of their albums... the first two have a darker theme I think, but I like them all!

It really reminds me of Pink Floyd's "the wall". There is a story running through it. Kinda funny, I introduced my daughter to floyd and she introduced me to mcr.
