a woman wrote a letter to tony blair saying that there should be no VAT on tampons...he wrote back saying he cant take the VAT off because there not essential items!! hows that? lol x

Yes, apparrently this is true. Tampons are (get this) calssed as a luxury item. Hmmmm not my idea of luxury I have to say.
