International commerce is complex, even when you think you're buying American your not (and vise versa).

I bought a Nissan. It was made in Tennessee. Is that buying American?

Well, here's the thing. I served in the armed forces for 20 years. I couldn't have afforded a new American car on what I made. As far as I'm concerned, I've made my contribution

If you want me to buy American, give me a reason besides "it's your patriotic duty to pay more." We're all about free enterprise until we can't compete, then we flag-wave.

I don't think so!

Make it cheaper and better than the other guy and then I'll buy. Bottom line. That might also have the effect of showing foreign countries that our goods are better and that we can compete based on something other than "oo-rah look for the Made In USA label." Gee, we might earn some respect then.

Silicon Valley almost gone, due to out sourcing! If in case you have not noticed, mostly all the factories (Zenith, RCA, all of your clothing industries and raw materials, farms sold to big Business) and jobs left and went overseas! Not to mention the environmentalists that stopped most industry and farms owned by Americans, with stupid regulations. There are few jobs or materials left for Americans to produce. Look at Detroit! Most of their jobs were given away, Oldsmobile closed..Chrysler belongs to foreigners, there ae literally no steel mills in the US anymore...Maybe if we did keep our own money, maybe we could re-claim the American Dream! You would be onto something if we could redirect our attentions and Congress on the Will of the People of the United States and not the whims of foreign entities!

I don't think it is impossible, but very difficult. With large companies owned by larger companies, you may be buying foreign products without even realizing it. You can also contribute to the military personel through the USO, America supports you and the MWR to name a few. Also one huge thing that not many people know, Military personel to not draw blood from the blood banks around the country.

the military only draws blood from military blood banks. If you have a military base nearby, try contacting them to organize a blood drive that would go to the men and women in uniform.

It is impossible these days. Even if a product says made in America or has an American brand name it more than likely has foreign made products in them. The Dems beloved unions caused this years ago with their out of control greed.

Virtually all manufacturing is done abroad, usually by American companies outsourcing.
In economic terms, buying American made products simply because their American will hurt the U.S consumer. This is because it will reduce competition and the incentive for U.S firms to produce high quality products - its the precise reason why U.S. car manufacturers collapsed during the 80's.

That hole thing is old. The global market has change. Time to get with the times. Republicans moved all the job overseas, instead of keeping them here. Products are not made here anymore. And all the local Republican business men moved the Aliens here and stole all of are jobs. time to dump GOP.
