My mom's a librarian...
funny thing about librarians...they've chosen that career field (usually) because they like calm, quiet, and organization; everything that people who use libraries (especially students) tend NOT to be. This isn't to say that you're especially loud or rude or anything--just that you have brought the chaos of the outside into their quiet little domain, and it really bugs them. (and then they wonder why no one likes to go to the library anymore..)

Just keep being polite, try to be a little extra quiet when you go in, and try not to leave things disorderly. Some may warm up to you if they see you're making an effort...others just have their panties in a bind, and there's really nothing you can do about that.

I say lay down the law, and tell them that that behaviour and tone from them is unacceptable in any circumstance and you do not wish to be harassed when in the library, and that a good tone goes further to get you to go along with them than a nasty one.

If you don't like doing that, go to the principal and tell him/her your issue, tell them it does not make you feel welcome in your own school and that it is not a healthy learning environment. If you're worried about them releasing your name and you being harassed by the librarians simply tell them that you're saying this in confidence and you presume that your name will not be released as that would cause the problem to worsen.

But under no circumstances should you be made to feel unwelcome in any part of the learning process, so work to change it.

Don't take it personally, OK? Just decide that that's the way they are, it's not you problem.
