Why do white folks keep trying to do things for us blaks. I think they should get there noses out and let us get on wiv things. This politcaly correct cr.ap makes us look bad. Why do the do godders have to stick there noses where there not wanted. I dont need you to defend me so why do u?

I totally agree, so why don't you call all of your relatives, friends, and all the rest of you (so called) people and gather all of your w/f checks and stamps and send them back,since you don't "really" want them anyway. Then we can cut out affirmative action, take away your free collages, minority business grants and your low income housing too. The list goes on and on. So you can believe me when I say, I would like nothing more than to quit doing "things" for you "blacks". One other thing, "it's not the politically correct crap" that makes you look bad, making yourself look bad is the ONE thing that you do for yourselves. By the way, while writing this I quoted your words twice and corrected your spelling on two words, just another "thing" that you won't do for yourself.

Good for you, mate. I cannot speak for all white folks but I can tell that there are lot of decent white folks, who are genuinely interested in Black Culture and heritage. They understand that living as a racial minority does have its unique challenges.

How do gooders make black folk look bad?

I disagree that you do not need the consent of the majority to defend you. There is no way Dr Martin Luther King could have achieved what he did without the support of decent white folks, who chose to stand up too.

The worst thing that can happen is for "ordinary" white folks to be apathetic to thugs like the BNP. It is not always just being PC. I think they also know that they have a stake in a just society. It is their country too.

my friend i totally agree with you on this subject, but i think that the problem is a bit more bigger than this, first of all i fell that all minority groups whether you are black white chinese or indian or whatever have got to stop screaming racism evertytime something goes wrong for them, if a white officer arrested a black man he is classed as a racist, if a black officer arrest a white man nothing gets said about it soand not to mention that dont forget that a lot of black people and im not saying everyone they hate white people quite a lot, i know cos i have heard them saying it you see what i mean but i do feel that we should all work together whether we are black or white to make this world a better place to live in

Do-gooders interferre with everything! It's the governments fault for encouraging them! Everything is about trying to help people out, and make this country accessable for everyone when it isnt possible. This country has gone PC mad, and its a joke!
If you dont want people annoying you and putting your nose in their business, then simply tell them. Get the message across as clear as you can!!

2) you are right about the political correctness and being irritated by do gooders in general. I hate it when its done to me (for different reasons though...btw i'm white).

conclusion: you have a point with being sick of do-gooders, but don't accuse white people in general of doing it, cos do-gooders can be found everywhere in every society.

Life was much better before the pc brigade. Most people now are paranoid & afraid to speak their mind for fear of being labelled 'racist'.
Life in the UK, & indeed anywhere, would be more relaxed, & less stressful, etc, if everyone were free to speak their mind without fear of prosecution or social distaine. It worked fine in the late 60's/early 70's. TV programmes like: Love Thy Neighbour, The Fosters, etc, were light-hearted fun. People laughed at each other, but more importantly, WITH each other..

Wow, some of the people answering this are extremely ignorant. There are a greater number of whites receiving welfare and government housing than there are blacks and other minorites so I really don't understand why you people are contantly bashing on welfare. I guess you just like making yourselves look like ignorant idiots, who knows really.

It also amazes me that you think blacks are supposed to be responsible for every other black person in the US. What about all the white men raping children and going on killing sprees? Should I say oh you should be responsible for your perverted psycho men? No, because that's complete ignorance.

Now to answer the question, whites think that they're helping with the crap they do and in my opinion they aren't. Maybe it's like a guilt trip thing, or they're beliving ignorant stereotypes. Everything they do is really just reinforcing the stereotype that minorities aren't supposed to do well so they need all this help. They're perpetuating the problem, not helping it. If minorities constantly see that they're not supposed to do well or that it's not cool to do well, they won't succeed in life.

People are products of their environment, it has nothing to do with race. The hispanics, whites, blue, green and yellow people growing up in the same type of environment as the stereotypical black person are going to end up with the same exact issues. Instead of focusing on race, I think it would be a better idea to attempt improving the bad environments that some people grow up in.
