Out of those two the Wii I would say. It is getting good multi-player games and I have heard in a year or so online games. The PS3 costs way to much for what it is and only has 1-2 good games as every exclusive is leaving PS3 and going to other systems...was on G4 :)
But if you want to pick neither side the Xbox360 is always good and has tons of games for everyone..but seems you might already have one.

Wii is better all around. It's cheaper, easier to find, has more games out for it right now and probably won't break on you after a couple months. The PS3 is expensive and because it isn't doing all that well compared to the Wii or the Xbox360 a lot of game companies seem to be thinking about leaving them. Sony will have to lower the price on the system soon if they want to stay competitive. It would be a shame to buy it then be able to get it cheaper later.

I have several younger cousins, and they all say the PS3 has the better graphics. I myself would want the WII, but they all say that the PS3 has the better graphics in the long run, and they have convinced me if I ever get a gaming system to get the PS system. So that is what I would go for. :-) I trust my younger cousins...lol. Good luck! You could probably look up user reviews online as well and see what they recommend.

The majority of people will say the PS3, and they're right. It's an amazing system offering tons of options, and has a lot of memory, i heard maybe 60 gegabyte? Isn't that enough? It's almost as a computer hard disk! PS3 is for the ultimate gamers looking for hardcore games, aside it's price, it's the best system to have, better than the Wii, I advice you to choose it, amazing graphics and plenty of options make it the "MUST HAVE" system of all.

i have both of them. when i first got the wii, i loved it. now, i barely play it. the only wii game i play is the wii sports game. trust me, the controller scheme gets old quick. it took me about 2 months before i got bored. like i said, i also own the ps3, and i love it. i play it every day. it is expensive, but if you look at what you are getting, its actually quite worth it. the wii may seem to be the system to own, but i am telling you, once the controller gets old, the system is pretty much junk. wii games only allow you to use the motion sensing. you cant plug in a gamecube controller and play a game normal. i am looking forward to mario galaxy but honestlly, i dont know if i can handle jiggling the controller around in order to move. dont listen the the xbox fanboys telling you to get the 360. to get all the excessories the ps3 comes with, you will end up spending more on the 360. i love my ps3 but in the end it all comes down to your opinion. look up some things. but dont look things up on sites that favor one system over another. good luck and i am sure your kids will thank you whichever one you get them.

Dont listen to the other reasons people give. the wii IS better AND the PS3 Is crapy. No GAmes and no one likes it so no other relations with the games and stuff to brag about.
the PS3 just TRIES to copy what xbox and nintendo have done

If you have young kids (and this is going to kill me for saying this), but the Wii is better. The PS3 is for people like me who can't get enough of the best of the best games. The Wii is a good interactive gaming 'device' for children.

i think another question you could ask is... Which one would i find in a store first?...wiis are pretty hard to find, because its really popular right now.. the ps3 is more for the hardcore gamers because of its high end graphics... and its high prices... also theres not much going on for the ps3.. its not gonna truly shine until more games come out for it... for now.. and for your kids...i would go for the wii since its more interactive and i think the rest of your family would enjoy it as well

i would have to say the wii because it gives you excersize and it is fun. the ps3 cant hold very much memory and i heard it is not a very good system.
