I seen 3D desktops where you can rotate your desktop like a cube
and have special effects on the windows.Here is a video of what I mean --

Like that but except on XP
I need step by step instructions.If this cannot be done on windows XP,I need to how to do this on linux.(I do not have linux so I might need directions linux too)
Please help me if you can

Well, I have personally been able to configure this on Linux(Mandriva2007 and Suse 10.2 ). Even though this stuff is still under developmenet for KDE ( Desktop environment for Linux!) it's working perfect. But if you have never been to linux, You might want to give a try using maindriva linux 2007 which has the best support for 3D desktop with drak3D configuration tool that makes it very easy to configure 3D desktop.
