My doctor told me about one I could use other than clomid, but I can't remember what it was called. Do any of you know, or have any of you used something other than clomid with an iui to acheive fertility?

I achieved pregnancy with clomid...after 6.5 years of taking it and 9 years of infertility. Please note that this is highly unusual as most get pregnant in less than 8 months on clomid (I had lots of fertility issues...not just one). At the time I was trying to get pregnant, they did not have all the medications that are available today. We only had clomid and pergonal.

I will list the medications here and maybe one of them will jog your memory:
clomid/serophene
bromocriptine/parlodel
and all of these are gonadotropins that are used:
pergonal
repronex
fertinex
follistim
gonal F
novarel
ovidrel
pregnyl
profasi
menogon

Yes, I have known people through the years that have gotten pregnant on drugs other than clomid. Usually the gynecologist will choose the drug that he thinks will work best for you. Good luck!
