No where near it. He in actual fact has not been a too bad PM, ok the Iraq war is his bigest downfall. But when you consider Thatcher and the Poll Tax. Ted Heath and the Three Day Week, Jim Callaghans Winter of Discontent, Anthony Edens Suez Crisis, Winston Churchills Apathy during the 45 elections, The General Strike, Loyd Georges reforms, Balfours Mistakes and Ignorance of the Guns of August in 1914, I mean there are quite a few PM's that have one or two nasty shows. But the worst by a long shot would have to be for Me the Gladstone eras, loads of stupid actions, bad judgement calls and a number of wars in the Empire started by idiotic movements and advise.

No, definitely not. I didn't vote for him and certainly wouldn't even contemplate voting for Brown should he become our next PM (heaven forbid!). However, Anthony Eden, Michael Foot, John Major were all far worse than TB. Had Neil Kinnock, The Welsh Windbag, ever got in, I think he'd be right up there as probably the worst! But we shall never know.

Not by any means. The statistics for the economy and general wealth of the country would show him as one of the better ones. In the control of military matters with other countries, no one could have been worse then Neville Chamberlain. I would be interested to hear your argument as although I shall not vote for New Labour in the next election I don't think Tony Blair has been bad

I'm w Bumble here. Heath and Eden will run Blair close.
The interesting thing is that succeeding at the political process isn't the same as being good for the country. In the USA, Grant was a ghastly president but got re-elected anyway.

"WAS" is past tense, Tony Blair still is the Prime minister.
You cant label someone the worst in history before his term ends.
What if he does something to totally redeem himself?
LMAO LOL Like thats ever gonna happen!!!
Thatcher wasnt exactly all Rosie however
But i wont be expecting any great shakes from his replacement
Just more of the same probably

I give it about 5 years before people start regretting him. He has many, many flaws and made many mistakes but he is far from the worst ever. He actually got a few things very right too, such as the whole peace process in Northern Ireland up to a certain point.
And as mentioned before, you cant deny that he 'presided' over a good period for the economy.

To David W who said Neville Chaimberlaine was the worst British PM...I don't think he was so bad, ok, so Winston Churchill was better, but hey, Chaimberlaine wasn't so bad!!
And yeah, Tony Blair isn't that great, but give the guy a break, he works hard!!
