Because the Republicans are the ones who care for the working people. We care so much that we'd like to get the non-working people off of welfare.

You're wrong. Republicans care more about those who work than Democrats. The dems hate people who put in a good day of work. They support those who don't want to work and those who live off entitlements. Republicans and Libertarians are the only partisans who believe in the value of responsible working Americans.

actually, Republicans are generally the number 1 party of rural America. If you look at maps across the counry, you will see that Rural Americans (working class) are most always red counties. That's because Republicans advance tax cuts for the lower income, and are generally not in favor of the unions that take advantage of them.

You are making Democrats sound bad. Republicans have just as much power as Democrats and help the working people pretty much the same. There's no need in being so belittling. Both sides have good and bad about them.

hang on a minute.. case in point.. dems are very pro alternative energy and enviroment.. and all the unions vote straight dem.. BUT the UMWA and the Stel workers are who are consitered middle class vote dem who want nothign better than to put them out of a job sicne coal is "evil" so the unions are the wones with no soul accepting kickbacks to sell their own workforce out
