It depends on each individual and how much they have earned and paid in. You should get a statement from s.s. every few years that tells you how much you have aid into the system and what the expected amount you will be paid. You should always check these statements as sometimes not all income has been reported and you would want to let the employer know because this does effect you ssi. You can call ss and request a statement.

ssi is about 634.00 a month. its through the government, a lot like welfare. you have to report earnings, proberty, you cant have over 3,000 in the bank

ssd is the higher amounts because that comes from ones social security accout that they have paid into all their lives.

It all depends on what you have made in the past. Mine would be 1700.00 right now and I am in the 75k a year bracket.
