I know this leads to arthritis and such, but it just gets so annoying that I feel like I HAVE to crack it. and I don't want to do that anymore so can you guys give me some ideas so I can stop?!

I don't have a cure for you, but did want to point this information out:

There is no evidence that cracking one's knuckles can cause arthritis directly. However, repeated injury of a joint or repeatedly causing it to swell can injure the cartilage and potentially lead to degenerative joint disease.

So just because you crack it doesn't mean you'll get arthritis -- my Dad has a BAD knuckle cracking habit and at 67 still doesn't have arthritis. My mother (who never cracks ANYTHING) got arthritis in her hands at 59.

I wish there was a cure too, but I don't think there is. You might just have to do it cold turkey.

I got it bad. I crack damn near every thing on my body, constantly, all day long. (neck, back, fingers in two spots, thumbs in three spots, wrists, elbows, knees, some bone between my thigh and crouch, foot, and toes.

I want to quit, but it just feels so good. If you find a cure, then let me know.
