From the next spending bill approved without a timetable.

That kind of puts Bush between a rock and a hard place. If he vetos the bill he can be seen as not supporting the funding for the troops. If he signs the bill than he is agreeing to the time table set by Congress. Congress does not have enough votes to override a veto. Democrats can come back in '08 and call to memory of voters that Bush and the Republicans in Congress either did not support the funding for the troops or the will of the people who were demanding an immediate withdrawl. They will explain that the Democrats were willing to compromise on the withdrawl issue by setting a date for late next year. This looks like a perfect set up to me. If Bush does sign the bill than it is still a Democratic victory. If Bush tries to get money from other places than scandal will befall him again as it did for so many other shenanigans his Administration has pulled.

Democratic landslide in 2008 like the Johnson defeat of Goldwater in 1964 with even more Democrats ushered into seats in both chamers of Congress.

21 Billion will not go to, Shrimpers and Farmers, We will not give Al Qada and the Insurgents a date yet. Sad the Left has to use "Pork" to get votes for adding the Date. (Which every analyst says is a bad idea) Instead of getting troops the money they need.

Policy by polls, and pressure from the far Left,

In order for that to happen, it will have to pass in the Senate. And I don't see that happening anytime soon.

This is more posturing on the part of the Dem's...effectively pandering to their extremists. It will go the way of their "Non-Binding Resolution."

This is simply one more performance of Pelosi's "smoke and mirrors" legislation.

Congress will eventually approve a spending bill. The current posturing is silly. I think it is designed solely to get contributions to Democrats, from the left wing loonies.

It goes back to Congress to either be re-worked or overidden.

It is Congress' fault if they can't send a bill that doesn't have millions in personal pork spending (from both Reps and Dems).
