you have to do them both UP-right!
thats about it...
there are more similarities between
square dancing and clogging
one is classical and the other is " folk" dance.
maybe jazz and square dancing would be better
Mat Mattox did the choreography for the old western movie 7 brides for 7 brothers. maybe that would be better to compare too.

Very little to compare, except that you are dancing on your feet for both. Many more contrasts than comparisons. But, some ballet choreographers have used western and square dancing in their ballets. as in the famous hoe-down in Rodeo. (You may know it as the "Beef- it's what's for dinner" advertising campaign music.)
