Has Ahtisaari given a final determination for consideration by UNSC? When is the next meeting of Security Council to consider the issue? How does the post-election scene in Serbia impact the speed of this process?

The plan has ended in a stalemate. Russia wants Ahtisaari replaced(so does Serbia) and has entrusted a very pro-Serbian official to oversee the task(the Russian envoy). This will surely result in a veto from Russia. Other, or should I say most nations agree with Ahtisaari's plan or something real similar to it. I'm not sure which way this is heading but I do know one thing, the Kosovars are growing impatient and begun selling of state owned operations which Serbia outwright opposes. Some nations that have troops there are also growing impatient and want this resolved.
The recent Serbian election was another blow to this process there was no clearcut majority winner and the right did better than expected. When a recent vote was take in the National Assembly of Serbia about Ahtisaari's plan it was rejected by about 98% of the members and the remaining 2% did not vote. This goes to show the stigma attached to being a pro-Kosovo independence politician. it is really taboo to support Ahtisaari's plan at this moment in Serbia.

This all stalling procedures. Ever since it was suggested that an investigation of American war crimes takes place. That was under Clinton under Bush America is trying to out Nazi the Nazi's so any word like tribunal, world court, Hague, War crimes, Crimes against Humanity. The NSA is tuned in, and does what ever it is supposed to do to protect murderers and crooks in high places. I may be exagerating a triffle but this is the general way things are running....Mary
