My son has ADHD. He's also smart. He can do most 2nd grade level math and he's only in Kindergarten. His report card is terriffic only the social area holds him back. He can't sit down and be quiet for any amount of time. He gets his name on the board everyday because he doesn't sit like all the other kids. He needs a more "hands-on" classroom setting. I talked breifly with some one in Fenton, MO about this and she told me breifly the Mehlville school district has classes for these children. Advanced learning environment suited to ADHD needs. Are there any other schools around that anyone is aware of? He currently attends a small country school district in IL. I'd prefer some where in IL but at this point I"m willing to move to MO for my son to get a good education suited to his needs. I"m not sure how to find this out so I'm appealing to my yahooligans out there. Help me please!!!

There's the PEGS program here in the St. Louis metro area, but I'm not quite sure if it's suited to ADHD needs or not.

try ritenour school district its located in st ann mo and their tele phone number 314 493 6400. my son also have adhd and he have brung his grades up. way better than last year when he went to lucas crossing complex elem i would'nt recommend for no parent to send they child to normandy school district warn other families out there too
