I like Letty as a shortened version of something...but I'm not sure about Leticia--It is your child though so don't go off on this. If you like Leticia, maybe Letondra? Or even Charlotte and that could be Letty after. It's a cute name, Letty.

Letty is the nickname given by those who have known this person properly addressed as Leticia. The name Leticia is an off-shoot of the Latin name for Letitia, meaning joyous, gladness. I once knew a girl named Letty and I have wonderful memories.

I've always known Letty as the abbreviation for Leticia, and I think they are beautiful feminine names. So, go for Leticia and call her Letty if you like. It is a name used more in the past, and I kind of like its 19th century flavor.

I like Letty. But you could always use both. Leticia as the given name and Letty as the nickname.

Leticia sounds nicer and it's going to get shortened to "Letty" anyway. Going with Leticia seems like it'd be easier though.
